- Students will analyze the homefront transformations in the roles of women and minorities

2. Creative Writing
- Students will be able to write pieces of figurative language to "caption" propaganda posters of WWII.
- Students will be able to write a mirror poem using the historical context and content from WWII.

- Students will construct a cohesive portfolio of original writing to demonstrate their understanding of poetic devices, structure, language and WWII.

- Students will create their own jewelry incorporating styles used in sweetheart jewelry.
- Students will know what propaganda is.
- Students will deign and create pendants using elements and symbolism used in propaganda posters.
6. Math
- Students will understand the effects of World War II by interpreting graphs and functions
- Students will understand exponents and logarithms to solve problems
- Students will be able to interpret given data to construct exponential functions
