- Class use: I would use this text in order to find excerpts from wives, mothers, or children. I would either read them aloud to the students at the beginning of class and discuss, or write the quote on the board for students to see.
- Evaluation: This is another text that can be found at Barnes and Nobel which is reliable. The book was written by Reg Grant, a history writer who has published more than twenty books. The book is an informational book that was made to educate and tell the stories of individuals who lived through World War II. I do not think that this book has a bias, it just shares the testimonies of people who were in service and their families. This book relates to this unit because students are learning about the jewelry that was often created by family memebers that were left in the United States. This book might help students understand why they created jewelry in the ways that they did.

- Evaluation: The book was found on the Barnes and Nobel website, which is a reliable source. Marisabina Russo in an author and illustrator; the storyline of the book is based off of the experiences of her own family. The book was published in 201 but based off of historical event that took place in the 1940's. The book portrays an image of a family who split up and hid in fear of their lives, which was common for Jewish families during WW2, so I do not see a bias. The original purpose of this book was for entertainment purposes. The book would be a valid way to show students how families in other countries also had to sacrifice during the War. It also gives human faces to the people that U.S. propaganda posters often discussed.

http://www.teacheroz.com/WWIIpropaganda.htm - Class use: A website that students can use to research on the topic of war time propaganda and gain inspiration
- Evaluation: This website was created by a high school teacher named Mrs.Osborn. I am not sure how credible it is, but if she is teaching it to her students then it should be rather credible. The website was last updated in September of 2010 , which is okay because WWII is an historical event so nothing has changed. Since Mrs.Osborn is teaching this world history class, I'm sure that she often chooses images that she personally enjoys, which could be bias. The original purpose of this website was to be educational. This source is a relevant resource because students are able to view propaganda posters.

- Evaluation: The National Archives are a very reliable source. They have a collection of propaganda posters that are from varying artists from the World War II era. I am not sure how often the national archives updates their website, but it is not extremely important because World War II is a historical event. The National Archives were originally meant to be used as a resource. I do not think that the National Archives have a bias, but the propaganda posters that are on the website are definitely bias. This resource is relevant because students can research and find various propaganda posters.

The book was written by Phyllis Emert who does not have much information about herself, but she had published 11 books. The book was published in 1996 but that is okay because World War II is a historical event. The original purpose of the book was to be informational and educational for students. This resource is relevant because it explains why some of the propaganda posters were created and offers information about U.S. citizens living on the homefront during WW2.

Final Project
For a final project to the World War II unit students would self-evaluate themselves on their two projects using a rubric like the one shown. Students would also be responsible for writing a statement about the meaning of their two pieces. They would explain the imagery they chose to use and how the gained inspiration from their own life story as well as the history of World War II. I would hold an in class critique where students are able to talk about their pieces, share their work, and receive feedback from their classmates.
